About our Makers
All Charlie & Ivy's products are made by us on our farm in Yorkshire.
Our handmade ceramic bowls have been hand thrown in stoneware clay. Each bowl is handcrafted, individual and there will be slight variations in each piece.
They were made by Alison Bradley who retired from teaching 5 years ago and took up ceramics. She predominantly makes domestic ware in stoneware clay. Alison has made these bespoke dipping bowls exclusively for our oils to be enjoyed in. Alison lives in North Yorkshire, near Filey, where she works from her home studio with her artist husband.
Our handmade Yorkshire boards were made by Kelvin Lund, a maker of handmade furniture, and has been crafting his individual pieces from a young age. Kelvin has handcrafted our boards from Spalted Beech, a natural beech wood that has aged for several years and in so doing creates unique and beautiful patterns throughout the wood. Kelvin has a close relationship with the North Yorkshire estate where this timber is sourced and can take us back to the very place the timber was felled. Kelvin has oiled the boards with our cold pressed rapeseed oil to protect and enhance the natural colour of the wood.
