Brie & Apple Autumn Tart (V)
Celebrate the abundance of British apples this Autumn with our brand new recipe. Delicious layers of sliced Bramley apples, oozing melted brie, and a tasty garlic and balsamic finish, all layered onto a puff pastry base.
Serves 8
INGREDIENTS
1 sheet of ready rolled puff pastry
2 spoonfuls of Garlic & Thyme Plant Based Mayonnaise
Good drizzle of Garlic, Oregano & Balsamic Bread Dipper
200g brie cheese, sliced thinly
2 large Bramley eating apples, sliced thinly
Handful of pecan nuts, crumbled
Pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper
Preheat your oven to 200C, 180C Fan, 400F / Gas Mark 6
Place the puff pastry sheet with its greaseproof sheet onto a large baking tray. Lightly score a 2cm border around the edge of the pastry, ready for your fillings to be placed inside.
Leaving the border clear, cover the pastry sheet with a layer of the Garlic & Thyme Mayonnaise, followed by the slices of brie and slices of apple. Finish with a good drizzle of the bread dipper, and season.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden. Once out of the oven, finish with a further drizzle of your bread dipper and a scattering of crumbled pecans. Enjoy.
