WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT
Across the seasons we will come together to host these exclusive evenings with a local guest producer and enjoy a mouth-watering menu, using their local and award-winning products as the stars of the show.
Pulling up a stool at the Chef’s Table, you will enjoy the company of the people behind the food and drink, be entertained by their stories, and leave inspired. All whilst enjoying a delicious, seasonal three-course menu, packed with local produce, cooked by the brilliant Gilly, The Cook’s Place chef and tutor, and your guest host for the evening.
MORE ABOUT OUR NOVEMBER EVENT
Our winter event will feature our guest host, Kate Balchin who runs the family-owned Wold Top Brewery, based in the Yorkshire Wolds. Their vision is to make great tasting beer, using home grown, and sustainably sourced ingredients for the whole of Yorkshire and beyond to enjoy! They have won countless awards for their beers over the years, each crafted to bring beers that are full of character and taste. Their beer flight will be paired with a wild game menu, and our guests will leave inspired by the seasonal flavour pairings.
Guests will enjoy authentic, award winning beer, along with a host of seasonal food and drink from local artisan producers such as Yorkshire Wolds Apple Juice, Whitby Gin, Luke's Bakery, Roost Coffee, Laceys Cheese, Yorkshire Sea Salt, and of course Charlie & Ivy's too! Winter is really is the best time to explore the splendour of local food and drink.
Tickets for the supper cost £65 per person and each event is exclusively limited to 12 people.

Each of our four supper clubs have been sell outs! Our first guest producer in May was Justin Staal, founder of Staal Smokehouse, a small artisan smokehouse located just outside the beautiful market town of Beverley. Our guests enjoyed their delicious smoked produce, and heard all about their fifteen year journey. A tale of travels, and the most amazing of food along the way! For our summer event in July, we were joined by Kathryn Bumby, founder of The Yorkshire Pasta Company, their premium, bronze died pastas can be found in over 450 independent shops, and you can spot their pasta on some incredible restaurant menus across Yorkshire, as well as up and down the UK. Award winning for a reason! In September, we welcomed Sarah Puckett of Puckett's Pickles, sharing her range of delightfully British pickles, chutneys, condiments and jams, each made with the best of British ingredients inspired by her forefathers. Another great evening sharing food stories.

ABOUT OUR CHARITY
Each supper club will support our charity, HOPING York, a pop-up street kitchen who pitch up in York each week to serve freshly made, home-cooked meals to the homeless and those in food poverty. As a number of local producers will be generously donating food and drink for this event, Charlie & Ivy’s will be able to donate all the proceeds after costs to this amazing charity.
YOUR HOSTS
Adam & Jennie Palmer, as founders of Charlie & Ivy’s, will join up with Gilly to inspire you with the award-winning artisan products you know and love. With a family history deep rooted in the love of food, we believe it brings people together, enjoying not only the food but sharing stories too. Gilly is a true ambassador of Yorkshire's food and drink, setting up Malton's only cookery school, and playing a huge part in the success of Malton's Food Lovers Festivals. Her relaxed, informal and friendly style is perfect for our intimate supper clubs.
