Serve Up The Ultimate Summer Grazing Board

Summer Grazing Platter

Sunshine, chilled drinks, and a platter that everyone wants to gather around. A summer grazing board isn’t just food, it’s an experience. A summer board is all about excellent produce, fresh flavours, vibrant colours, and easy prep. Not only guaranteed to impress your guests with a seasonal display of beautifully arranged food, but also low stress to build, and tastes great too.

We’ve put together our guide of go-to foods to feature. Share with your favourite cold drink, good friends and hopefully a generous serving of sunshine!

Best quality produce

When it comes to building a base for your grazing, excellent produce is always at the core. If you’re serving up charcuterie then opt for the very best. At Lishman’s they source the very best meat, ensuring a top-quality product. Working with established Yorkshire farms, supporting regional farmers who share their commitment to husbandry, welfare and outstanding quality. Ultimately, they know, trust and respect the farmers they buy from, and this shines through in the taste.

From their 3 Star Great Taste Award Winning Chorizo to their Fennel Salami that scooped Silver at the British Charcuterie Awards, to their delicious snacking salamis, their charcuterie range will not disappoint.

The crowd pleaser

No grazing board is complete without a crowd-pleasing cheese. For our sharing board we’re using cheese from The Cornish Cheese Company, a family business that has been producing award-winning cheese on their family farm on Bodmin Moor since 2001. Their Cornish Blue was crowned the World Champion Cheese in 2010, and since then launched their Cornish Brie, scooping a Bronze at World Cheese Awards in 2021. In 2023 their Cornish Camembert landed.

Located just on the edge of Bodmin Moor, Knowle Farm is ideally placed for cheesemaking as the very moist climate makes for good pasture, which is important for the local milk that goes into the cheese. All the cheese is still handmade, turned and packed on the farm with sustainability, quality and great taste at the core.

Something to surprise

If you’re looking for something a bit different for your board then we’ve got the thing for you. These seriously tasty snacking cloves are from The Garlic Farm on the Isle of Wight. Whether you’re enjoying their sweet cloves with chilli, or with herbs, these whole marinaded garlic cloves are ideal to add to your board, to pass around as tapas, or crunch with a beer or wine.

The Garlic Farm produces organic garlic, sources speciality garlic, and creates garlic-infused products. Their family farm on the Isle of Wight has offered quality garlic from their own fields and those of partner producers for over 50 years. Their passion for garlic is at the heart of what they do, and their accreditations prove high standards of social and environmental performance.

Nature's finger food

Balance the richness of flavors with some refreshing, natural finger food. In full summer spirit we’re embracing the fresh fruit available to us as an alternative platter filler. Think juicy apricots, fresh British strawberries and palette cleansing chilled melon slices or grapes. A bright and tasty alternative to the usual crudités.

A taste of the Mediterranean

For the true taste of summer, be sure to include your favourite bread dippers. It’s the perfect occasion to include our new Lemon, Garlic, Thyme & Balsamic Bread Dipper - a real Mediterranean vibe flavour! Set a collection of dishes featuring different flavours throughout the board, and guests can explore a delicious tasting experience.

Charlie & Ivy’s award-winning bread dipping oils are the perfect addition to your grazing whatever the season. We love flavours such as Lemon, Balsamic & Juniper Berry and Chilli, Balsamic, Oregano & Thyme, each enjoyed with a crusty loaf of sourdough on a long summer evening. Each flavour hand crafted on our farm in Yorkshire using the finest cold pressed rapeseed oil.
